Use the default prices provided (steel: $0.10/lb, aluminum: $0.80/lb, copper: $3.50/lb), or you can adjust the scrap metal prices by checking current rates for more accuracy.

Select a vehicle type (e.g., sedan ~3,500 lbs, SUV ~4,500 lbs) for an estimated weight. If you choose “Other,” enter an approximate weight, or contact us for help.

The calculator provides a range based on your inputs and market data. The confidence level (shown as a bar) indicates reliability.

Your province affects towing costs (e.g., free in Ontario, $50-$200 in remote areas like Nunavut). The calculator adjusts the estimate to reflect these costs.
